Meet The Doctor & Team
Quinn Yost, DDS, MSD
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
“I created Milk Tooth to help families experience dentistry differently. Just as we are raising this generation of children differently, so should the way we approach their health. We are providing better care today to build a bright future for our children.”
Dr. Jess White, DDS, MS
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
“To me, pediatric dentistry is more than just healthy smiles — it’s about nurturing trust, confidence, and lifelong habits from the very start. I believe in meeting each child where they are, and working closely with families to create a positive and empowering experience at every visit.”
Welcome Home
Dr. Quinn grew up on the Spokane River of Eastern Washington. He could walk through the woods to see the cows, chickens, horses and goats at his neighbors. Or ride his bike down the street to build hay forts in his grandparents’ barn. Drawing from those roots, Milk Tooth is about creating that nostalgic simple-life connection here in this seaside community that we all call home.
Dr. Jess grew up in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, where her love for health and wellness first took root.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Quinn Yost earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California Los Angeles. He went on to complete his Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he graduated as Chief resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a certified laser dentist and uses the technology to provide tongue-tie and lip-tie releases as well as anesthesia free (no numbing) dental procedures.
Dr. Jess studied Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees before heading south to sunny Los Angeles to pursue dentistry. She later completed her pediatric dental residency at USC and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach.
The Founding of Milk Tooth
Dr. Quinn is passionate about health and wellness, he has a personal goal to live to be over 100 years old! Dr. Quinn’s immense curiosity to create optimal health led him to the formation of Milk Tooth. Milk Tooth’s unique oral health and wellness strategies are the cumulation of collaboration with leaders in preventative and functional dentistry, utilization of new and established research, and adoption of cutting edge technology to provide a personalized approach to functional dentistry.
Reimagining Dentistry
Dr. Quinn trained as a pediatric dentist to have the opportunity to help patients be healthier. He was disappointed with how traditional dentistry subjected patients to a repetitive cycle of: cleanings, exams, x-rays, and fillings, only to return the next year and do it all over again. Rinse and repeat.
Direction
Using a collaboration of science, nutrition, oral care habits, and modern technologies we aim to use cutting edge treatments paired with teaching to eliminate a child’s cavities for life.
Special Considerations
Dr. Quinn loves delivering comprehensive care to all children; he has made a focused effort to understand the best dental approach for those with special health care needs. He spent two years researching dental care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the University of Washington. His work was published in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry.
Unique Mindset
Dr. Quinn approaches every patient with the mindset of, “How would I treat this patient if it was one of my own children?” This makes work rewarding and fun.
Family
Dr. Quinn met his wife, Jessie, in college. Jessie has worked as a preschool teacher, behavioral therapist for children on the Autism spectrum as well as a professional ballroom dance instructor. She is currently home with their three children and enjoys writing on the side, when she can. They have a five-year-old daughter, Brightlyn, three-year-old son, River, and a one-year-old daughter, Everly. As a family they spend most of their time at the beach or hiking and they love going to Mammoth Lakes! Dr. Quinn’s favorite sports are beach volleyball, snow skiing, ice hockey and CrossFit workouts. The Yost family enjoys living in the South Bay.
Family
When Dr. Jess is not caring for tiny teeth, you’ll find her on the ski slopes, spiking volleyballs at the beach, experimenting in the kitchen, or soaking up coastal life with her husband, Alex and 18-month-old daughter, Ella.
